Our Story

We believe furniture
should outlast trends

Our woodwork began as commissioned work under the Openhouseidea name more than 10 years ago — a small workshop built on a single belief: that furniture should outlast trends. It went on to earn the trust of homeowners, architects and hoteliers across Thailand. Today the same workshop and the same craftsmen work under Treeshape — a registered company that takes on work and issues quotations in its own name.

We work exclusively with teak — a wood prized for its natural oils, dimensional stability, and deep, warm grain. Every piece we create is shaped by hand, using techniques passed down through generations of Thai woodworkers.

We build to order and in batches, to the same standard every time — the sizes in our catalogue are sizes our craftsmen can repeat, not one-off samples.

Every step is designed with intention — no shortcuts, no compromise.

Step 01

Wood Selection

Every piece begins with hand-selecting sustainably sourced teak, aged naturally to ensure stability, colour depth, and a rich grain pattern.

Step 02

Shaping & Assembly

Every piece is planed and assembled by hand, one at a time — never on a line. Nail points are filled and sanded flush before finishing, leaving a tight frame and an even surface.

Step 03

Finishing

We finish every surface with natural teak oil, hand-rubbed in multiple coats. The result is a silky, protective sheen that deepens with age.

Step 04

Quality Assurance

Before leaving the workshop, every piece is inspected for fit, finish, and structural soundness. We stand behind every item we craft.
